Platform layout explained
Algora is designed to be the most intuitive copilot for managing your portfolio and conducting daily research.
The workspace is split into two resizable panels:
- On the left, the Resources panel - where you browse your data: portfolios, files, news, securities, projects and more.
- On the right, the Copilot panel - your AI chat, with side tabs for History, Sources, Activity and Fact-check.
The navigation bar at the top switches the content of the Resources panel:
- Dashboards *(coming soon)*
- Workspace - your Projects, Session files, Notes and Shared items
- Analysts - schedule, library and executions of your AI analysts
- Assets - Portfolios and connected brokerage accounts
- Institution - your organization’s overview and templates
- Data - News, Securities, Files and Images *(images coming soon)*
In the top-right corner you will also find the language selector, the dark/light mode toggle, the chat panel toggle, fullscreen mode, your notifications and your profile menu.
Your first conversation with the Copilot
Start a new chat in the Copilot panel and simply type your question. While Algora is answering, you can follow its reasoning in the Activity tab and stop the generation at any time.
The input box gives you several superpowers:
- Attach files with the + button (or paste images directly) to ask questions about them.
- Dictate your question with the microphone button.
- Choose your tools - click the tools button to select which data sources the agent may use (web search, news, financial data, files, portfolios). Tools can only be changed when starting a new chat.
- Mention resources - type @ to reference one of your files or # to reference an analyst directly in your message.
- Attach the chat to a project so its outputs are stored with the rest of your research.
When you are happy with an answer, you can save it as a note, export it, or share it with others.
Uploading and managing documents
Your document library lives under Data → Files. You can work with three types of documents:
- Personal - your own documents, uploaded with the upload button.
- Public - publicly available documents, curated and maintained by Algora for everyone to use.
- Houseview - documents shared between members of the same organization, available with a company account.
Only PDF files can be uploaded. A storage meter shows your current usage and what it will look like after an upload; very large files may take longer to process.
Once uploaded, documents are indexed and become accessible to the Copilot, which can query and analyze their content through natural language - ask questions, extract insights, or summarize complex information without manually reading the entire file. You can also open documents in the built-in viewer, use Smart Search to find the most relevant documents for a question, and add specific documents to your chat context.
